Norwich swept Burnley aside 4-1 at home on Saturday 29 August at 15:00 BST in the Championship. Mohamed Touré struck inside two minutes, Andre Brooks made it two on five, and Touré added a third on 21. Josh Laurent pulled one back for Burnley on 27, before Brooks completed his brace on 67 to finish the scoring.

The match was gone long before the interval. Three goals inside the opening 21 minutes left Burnley chasing a game they never led, and Laurent's reply on 27 altered the scoreline without altering its direction. Brooks's second after the break simply restored what that goal had taken away. Norwich were in front from the second minute to the final whistle, Touré and Brooks scoring twice apiece.
