Match report
Hull City secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Manchester United at home on Saturday 22 August, with kick-off at 12:30. The scoreline reflected a solid, controlled performance from the hosts against one of English football's traditional heavyweights, who struggled to find an answer on the day.
The result hands Hull an early three points in the Premier League table, a meaningful marker so early in the campaign, while Manchester United will need to regroup after a difficult afternoon on the road against a well-organised opponent.
For the record, this fixture will stand as one of the season's notable early upsets, a reminder that league form can shift quickly regardless of reputation or history.
