Genoa × Napoli · Serie A
Goals
Match report
Napoli won 2-0 away at Genoa in Serie A, with kick off on 22 August 2026 at 19:45. The scoreline reads as a controlled away win rather than a rout: a two goal margin and a clean sheet, the two things the final score can tell us. Genoa ended the night without finding the net in front of their own supporters.
In Serie A terms, taking all three points on the road by two clear goals is the kind of result that steadies a campaign, combining an away win with a defence that gave nothing away. For Genoa, losing at home without scoring is the sort of evening a season is later judged by, since points dropped in front of a home crowd are the hardest to recover.
For anyone reading this record months later, the summary is straightforward: on this Serie A matchday in August 2026, Napoli left Genoa with a 2-0 win and a clean sheet, while the hosts came away with nothing, neither a goal nor a point to show for the evening on their own ground.
