Match report
Milan beat Torino 2-1 on Sunday 23 August at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in Turin, on the opening matchday of the 2026/27 Serie A season. The first half finished goalless. Alphadjo Cissè opened the scoring on 64 minutes, Adrien Rabiot added the second on 67 according to the league's official timeline, and Ché Adams pulled one back for the hosts at 90+3, deep into stoppage time.
It was Rúben Amorim's first competitive match in charge of Milan, some seven months after the Portuguese coach left Manchester United on 5 January. The game turned on a substitution: Rabiot came on in the 56th minute, supplied the pass for Cissè's opener on 64 and scored the second himself three minutes later. No red cards were shown at any point in the match.
The three points open Milan's league campaign away from home, and Adams's stoppage-time goal did no more than narrow the margin. Torino finished the round without a point in front of their own supporters, after a first half in which neither side could find a way through. In Turin the entire match changed hands inside a three-minute spell, between the 64th and the 67th.
